What are the benefits of work placement?

ASF promotes work-placement programmes as a highly qualified way of introducing you into Spanish society, giving you many opportunities to learn Spanish and become integrated in the employment market. More specifically you will:

· Practise Spanish with Spaniards.
· Put theory into practice.
· Learn technical and business vocabulary.
· Have the opportunity to make Spanish friends.
· Learn first hand about professional life inside Spanish firms.
· Improve your chances of employment and enhance your CV/résumé.



Requirements:

- Age: Applicants must be aged between 18 and 30.
- Intermediate-level Spanish.
- Documents required  
 
:- Visa, if the student is a national of a non-EU country.

Cost of the programme

400 euros for attendance and placement, plus a four-week Spanish course (one-to-one or two-to-one) lasting 15 hours a week (840 euros)

Registration fee: 100 euros, which includes help translating your CV/résumé and covering letter. Payable on making your application.

Rest of the price: payable two weeks before your course begins.

The price includes:

- Accreditation certificate at the end of the programme.
- Employer’s assessment.
- Help and advice throughout the process.
- 24-hour help line.
- Option of hiring a mobile phone.
- Help finding accommodation.
- 60-hour Spanish course.
Venue for the programme

Mainly in Almansa and nearby towns. For certain types of work placement other venues in Spain may be sought.

Duration of the programme. Between three and six months, which may be extended by agreement between the firm and the student. One month is devoted to improving language skills.

Working hours: To be agreed by the firm and the student, up to a maximum of 40 hours a week .

Practical work in accordance with your training and wishes. Although the efforts of Aula sin Fronteras are focused on helping students to become integrated at the firms where they are assigned, in accordance with their background and wishes, this obviously cannot be fully guaranteed.

Fixing the site of practical work. Confirmation is only given after the applicant has had an interview with the firm in question.

Guidance. ASF provides guidance and support for all aspects of the programme, including accommodation, studying Spanish, free time, health and welfare and the practical work carried out as part of the work-placement programme.

Application.

To be made at least two months in advance, although we can accept last-minute applications and practical work offered.
